“First game of the ABBA season one, started off with Ogre Archery Union taking on Pestilins Privateers. This one started out with OAU easily controlling the LoS and methodically driving up the field... unfortunately, Booska got a little ambitious and threw a completion, hoping for a quick touchdown. Sukgra was left alone on the Privateer's side and within striking distance. A great defensive play lead to a turnover of possession, followed by a nice pass by Bubonus to Nurglolk, put the Privateers up 1-0 midway through the first half.

Later in the first half, Nurglolk breaks away with the ball and is poised to make it a 2-0 game heading into half time. Although Mur' Gad of OAU has other plans, making a last ditch attempt to stop this from becoming a blow out, he turns Nurglolk into a stain on the field with a vicious block. Those close to the play swear they heard Nurglolk say "not in the face" right before getting ripped in half.

The second half began with the Privateers down to 10. Unfortunately, 6 of them weren't rat ogres, leaving them in a bad state. A miscue by the Privateers left an opening for OAU to take advantage of and boy did they. Snuggo somehow manages to pluck a pass out of the air and rumble in for the game-tying touchdown, Breg' Kur lead the way with a couple big blocks. As the game was winding down, many Privateers were taken out of the game, including two that were turned into mulch. As the last few minutes ran off the clock, both teams had opportunities to take this game, but neither could pull it out. Ending this one in a tie.

We got a chance to talk to Dar' Mal, the MVP for OAU after the game, he said "I wunz da mvp? woohoo, now I getz a free pie.".

A spokesman for Sugarman's Sweat Treats said after the great showing of OAU, that the off-season training seems to have paid off nicely. They also said something about profits being at an all time high.
