The Dauphin's extended their unbeaten run to 5 games, but that was of secondary concern to the bizarre off field events that marred this game. Both the Bellz and the Dauphins were on the recieving end of some very potent extra-curricular sorcery causing both teams to drift through several alternate dimensions before returning 2 hours later to conclude the game.
Jacques 'Crash' Jeanson, opened the scoring with an exciting TD, rushing through the Bellz defense to score. The Amazons struck back in the second half with their rolling cage grinding down the field with Scar capping an excellently organised drive by sprinting over for a TD.
And then everything went, how shall we say, wierd... The rumour that the notorious cabalvision prankster and potent Dark Elf sorcerer Jeremiah 'Jeremi' Beatle was present at the match proved to be true as after the Amazons scored he used one of his favourite 'gags' and caused the stadium to slide into another dimension. As the stadium hurtled through space and time, landing in several alternate universes, Beatle took the opportunity to introduce himself to the Amazon team, a few of their players he'd rather taken a fancy to. However the Bellz let him know in no uncertain terms they wanted the match to continue and after the star Blitzer Scar released him from the headlock she had him held in Beatle complied, however a lot of time had been lost, some say as much as 2 hours!
The delay seemed to affect the Bellz and Maurice took advantage by scoring at the restart. Despite the Amazons strong final push for an equalising score the Bellz were thwarted and the Dauphins hung on for the win. Coach Rockie was full of praise for his opponents saying "You can call Amazons many things, but the one thing you can't say about them is that they play like girls".”
