“A muddy field seemed to hamper play from both teams early on in the first half. The Tomahawk-ettes slowly drove down the field despite problems blocking in the rain and mud. However, when they did manage to throw down one of the Dianic Witches, it was often with stunning force. Even so, the rain fouled up the Tomahawk-ettes ball handling, just as they were moving into position to score. The Witches, pushed out of position earlier, desperately moved to secure the now loose ball. For several minutes it was quite the scramble, both teams trying and failing to grab the wet and bouncing ball. Finally, the new receiver Jelane of the Witches managed to secure the ball as time was running out. She made a desperate pass to Lycia, left open when Lucy slipped on the wet grass while trying to block her. Lycia sprinted down field, managed to stiff-arm Sophia into the dirt and went on to score as time expired.

When both teams returned after the half, they played with renewed purpose in much better weather. The Tomahawk-ettes were especially strong in the drier field, knocking people over left and right. Even so, Jelane quickly managed to elude her pursuers to catch a long pass from Elenia in the corner of the end zone. The Tomahawk-ettes responded with equal speed with Timmy throwing a short pass to Randy who waltzed into the end zone almost untouched. After the kickoff, the Witches tried to drive straight up the middle, allowing Jelane to slip through. The Tomahawk-ettes countered viciously, closing the hole and tying up Jelane with multiple defenders. Through sheer grit, the Witches managed to open a small hole leading to one sideline as time was running out. Lissa lobbed the ball to Ophelia who managed to slip between the defenders to hurry down field. Jerry and Lola tried to bowl over Ophelia, but she refused to go down. With time running out, Jelane and Mara moved to support Ophelia. Ophelia charged Jerry, threw her down, slipped away form Lola and went on to score and secure the victory for the Witches.”
