I dont like this kind of match reports. My Opponent just points on any rolls he failed. He never talks about all those rolls he passed (just one example: Passing 8 dodges in a row in one turn). He just talks about his 4 Snakes in a row (2 were a dodge which he would failed on 3+ anyway, the other 2 were pointless as it was the last turn first half and he couldnt score anyway) failing to see he got his chance there by me rolling double snakes the turn before as well. He also fails to point at the 70 to 40 % luck he had in first half untill Turn 8. Usually I got over this thing called luck discussion but Im a bit bored of match reports like this and simply cant let this "Malthor-Style" Match Reports beeing uncommmented.
In the end what I want to say is: Learn to see a bit more then your failed dices. Look at the whole turns and count the 6,5,4,3,2,1 every turn and you will soon see that in a match like this things are pretty even. If you dodge with 8 Zons, make 3 GFIs, throw several blocks its a huge amount of rolls and sooner or later there will be snake (as there will be 4 or 6 too). If its the crucial moment it might be unlucky but maybe it might be a bit too much rolls too?
Anyway no laming or insulting here I just cant read things like that anymore.

Edit:
You can reread the odds of the matchup quite clearyl here:
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=stats&op=rankings&bracket=2
Just take the bracket and the matchup.
You mention av7? I say ma 4, ag2
you mention 12 vs 14? I say dodge block skills vs mainly unskilled players.
Zons are strong, matchup was pretty even, dices were too and the game was close. Its called bloodbowl get over it.
Melmoth shakes his oppos hand. Thx for the game!

#4 Polemusa – Smashed Knee (NI)
#4 Polemusa – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#7 Evandre – Dead (RIP)
Thought rookie rumbles were for rookies, not for over 1400 games played vets, but my bad =)
Little misunderstanding of the rules before the match on my part, should never play when tired, nothing major though.

About the game... Seeing Ramtut on their starting line wasn't a pleasant surprise. Game started with opponent receiving, d'oh. Though the start went ok, apo was conviniently having a coffee break once again when needed, further demoralizing troops. I had Zara, who got crowdpushed because of failed dodge with double 1's when i tried to bring in block assistant. Zara was of course SI'd as apo was already busy sipping coffee with Evandres corpse. In the beginning opponent seemed somewhat unwilling to risk the ball and didn't make much effort to score on first half, though tides were turning to him already.

On second half, when already shorthanded, kickoff result: perfect defence, d'oh. Although things started ok, towards the end I found my unlucky dices and got pretty decent row of 1's (4 in a row) and on the last turns I think the highest roll was 3. Also failed to get a touchdown with failed rerolled handoff, which would've tied the game.

Even with better rolls, with so many deaths in few games it would've been pretty impossible to win the next game, even if I could've beaten Of Wolf and men. Melmoth played a solid game and deserved his victory and I wouldn't be surprised if he would win the whole thing.

After seeing the result, Warriors of Penthesilea still was my first cup team and I now understand few things I didn't understand when creating it. Wrong decisions and bad injuries spell a disaster for Amazons. Few more blodgers could've done the trick, but that remains to be seen with my next Amazon team. if I'll ever make one =)

Edit:
Maybe you didn't see the big picture, but got caught up on roll rant? Given the circumstances: -10TS, AV7, 12 players vs your 14 or 15, I really felt that I needed to get away from the bashing if I still wanted to have any chance in the possible next match=> dodges. I didn't mention the successions as none of them were gamebreaking, but several failures were: death (apo failed), kickoff (perfect defense=> need of dodges), assist dodge (failed=> Zara SI), score handoff (failed=> didn't equalize=> lost). With my skills, in this game I would've needed better rolls on certain stages to give me a chance of winning. I'm sure you would've played it better with over 1000 more games experience, but you can't deny that the odds were against me from the beginning and I needed a little miracle to pull it off, which didn't happen.

As I tried to point it out earlier, the things that lead to this unfavorable matchup were mainly my fault, because of the bad team development. And with the given team and player skill difference, I felt that I needed little more than I got to win this one. I'm sure you can see there's a bit more than someone crying over bad dices?
