They charge through trying to take down our thrower at the back but we roll with the punches and then start pushing forward, KO'ing 4 elves and using up the elves' apo in the first 3 turns. Once it's sure we'll be able to score we start stalling to make it more difficult for the elves to return in the first half - they keep trying to break through and eventually one wardancer manages to BH himself dodging into a tackle zone! We score on turn 8 when the remaining elves refuse to even stand up.
2 elves stay in the KO box for the second half despite 2 wake up calls each leaving 9 elves to face my 11 orcs. They charge down one side with the ball in the remaining wardancers hands and we are forced to dodge away from the tree to blitz him down, catching the ball to boot! The elves have already burnt their only reroll so everything is a possible turnover now! And in fact on the very next move by the elves they fail a 2+ dodge and we essentially get 2 turns in a row- letting us move the ball right upfield to our rookie lineman who runs for the endzone. Some great dodges by the elves lets them get him marked though- and he fails his 1d blitz to score! The elves then several times grab the ball but fail the (admittedly long and into the sun) passes they need to get the ball away from their endzone, fumbling twice. We manage to score with our goblin on turn 7 after a few aborted attempts, securing the win.
