“The elvin curse continues as the Woodies continue to love the number 1. If it were not for the fact that the block dice were good to the Lakota, this game would have been in the trash bin. Gamewise however, a series of disconnects due to nebji's phone line trouble made it an interesting game of cloaked dwarves and hidden balls.
The first deep kickoff to the Lakota ended typically in an unchallenged Lakota two turn score. The Chaos Dwarves then pounded out their score only to met again with another unchallenged 2 turn woodie score. Boring! Shouted some rogue wizards in the crowd, and the fun began.
In the second half, a school of mischeivious rogue wizards made the teams guess who had the ball by cloneing it and giving a ball to two Annoyed Much players. And if that was not interesting enough, the wizards cloaked two of the Chaos Dwarf linemen.
The Lakota, using their uncanny dodging ability, were able to locate one of the cloaked dwarves and knock him down, disrupting the spell. The second invisable dwarf revealed himself by attacking one of two elves covering one of the suspected ball carrrier, the Centaur.
Not sure of who had the ball, the Chaos Dwarves fought hard to free the Centaur and pulled back to defend ball carrying Hobgoblin. The Lakota covered both suspects.
Eventually the Centaur fought hard enough to get all the way to the endzone even though, at times, he was outnumbered three to one. But, he did not score when he crossed the endzone line.
Now knowing who had the real game ball, the Woodies recovered quickly and laid the smack on the second ballcarrier suspect.
The dwarves quickly scooped up the loose ball after much hitting and tossed the ball out to the second Centaur who was met by three woodies, one with strip ball, Tintonyanyan, who snatched the ball and sought the cover of his teammates.
Yet another tricky spell gave the Centuar the momentary ability 'strip ball', as Tintonyanyan dodged the Centaur's blitz, the ball was stripped free! Meanwhile, Tatanka Iyotaka dodged free and into the endzone. Regathering his thoughts after the Centuar's charge and surprising strip ability, Tintonyanyan scooped up the loose ball again and threw maximum range to Tatanka Iyotaka for the final score.
No not really, a time spiral spell took the Lakota back 20 seconds. Tatanka Iyotaka dodged free and into the endzone. Regathering his thoughts after the temporeal shift, Tintonyanyan scooped up the loose ball again and threw maximum range to Tatanka Iyotaka for the final score.
Wichasha Wakan was awarded the game MVP for demonstrating perfect meditation throughout the match. No blocks, no pass, no rush, no foul. He intends to keep up the intense meditation throughout the next few weeks.”
