Ice Nine started strong, with a lucky troll dodge due to some misunderstood directions from the sideline, and a touchdown by Lord Kelvin.
Then things would slow way down for the chaos dwarves. They tried to tangle up the undead to prevent a tie, but the ghoul dodged into two tackles zones and then out of them to even it up for the half time pep talk.
Then in the second half, Ice Nine tried to slow them down again and despite coming close to getting their own hands on the ball, the mummies kept the players tied up enough to prevent much of a counter. The ghoul would score again and even with the game held up for injury time, Ryce couldn't fire up his team enough for an effective push to tie it up.
The crowd was disappointed with the lackluster showing as was Coach Ryce. He has had good success with his other chaos dwarf team so this is doubly frustrating. Perhaps NWL was never meant to be a place for Coach Ryce to excel. Oh well. We've got a kicker now, so let's try to get this season in the positive win column.
