The first half, admittedly, was less than spectacular - the Gutmunchers' drive broke when one of their trolls got KO'ed, and they struggled, successfuly, to keep the Ogres from scoring.
The second, now, was a diffrent story. Being one troll and a few gobbos short, the Gutmunchers this time failed to defend against an Ogre onslaught, and gave in 0-1. Still lacking a troll, the Gutmunchers' drive seemed bound to fail, however a sudden change of tactic and a surprising display of elfball skills (in the form of a spectacular short pass between Wipe'um and Scabbywee) allowed them to tie with the Ogres.
The score being 1-1, and little time left, the Ogre team settled for desperate measures, and sent a flying ball carrier behind the Goblin scoreline, thus ensuring a 1-2 victory.
A very good game by Seraphius, all I can say is things would look diffrent if I had both trolls! *shakes fist*
On the downside: the casualties were nowhere near the level of carnage we both hoped for, perhaps Nuffle will favour us more during the rematch.”
