After a classic semifinal, I played much worse in this qualifier final. I got through because I had a better team, caused lots of casualties and got the luck when I needed it. These orcs do seem to be lucky at the right time, as they've played in three qualifiers for a major tournament and won each game.

Gitzbang started on offense and after a few boneheaded moves from me scored in turn 4. I had a decent drive of my own, but Gitzbang managed to place his SS+DT gutter on turn 8 next to Varag, who was my ball carrier. I should have used the wizard then and there to take gutter down, but instead blitzed with Varag and got the pow I needed after a reroll.
Second half started with a score of 1-1, but with only 9 rats defending against 11 orcs. The kick-off result was a blitz!, which meant that the skaven put a lot of pressure on the ball. Thankfully, they only had one gutter left, and I didn't fail any rolls, so the ball was secured safely. The rest of the half saw some crowd pushes and a dead rat, but otherwise was a fairly uneventful trek to the rats' end zone. Gitzbang could've tried a tricky one turn touchdown with pushes, but a pitch invasion took out his players and ended the game.

I actually feel honoured that Random thought it necessary to use his 200k pregame cash on Ripper, Varag and a wizard instead of buying a new Blitzer and Black Orcs - which had been killed in the game before.
First half was alright for the rats, but no KOs made second half rather tough. Well played and well advanced - though i would have laughed if you'd manage to screw that up with 40 TS on me ;)
Been a pleasure and i'll be waiting to reward those Orcs with their first Qualifier loss next major :)”
