The opening game to the rookie No-Block League tourney #15!

Our necros face a troll and 11 beastmen. We receive and our wolf on his very first blitz of his career (and in fact the first block dice thrown this tourney) KILLs Frown the beastman!! 'A promising start!', proclaims our head coach as he casts raise the dead and adds Frown to our roster!

The beastmen take no notice of this and charge through putting 3 beastmen around our ghoul with the ball- he's forced to dodge away and can't make it. There's a slight brawl (during which another beastman is killed by a lowly zombie) and then the beastmen grab the ball and make a run for it ... we go for the 1d blitz with our wolf but he can't even make the opening dodge! 1-0 for the beasts and 3 turns left of the half.

A bad kick straight into my werewolf's hands leads me to believe I may be able to score quickly, but his blitz through the beastman screen can only get both down with 4 dice. We try and get the ball and get through for the next few turns but a lack of rerolls means we're in trouble from the start and the half ends 1-0, though we will have 11 vs just 8 of them for the 2nd half. Let's see if we can make up for lost time!

We kick to them and push in hard trying to get the ball quickly, but the beastmen work well and rush through the middle, eventually managing a pickup and run to safety while our two speedy players are tied up. We get a zombie tackle zone on the beastman by our endzone but they make the dodge despite a lack of rerolls to essentially ensure the win with 4 turns left for us to get 2...

And with a deep, deep kick and more clumsy blitzing from our wolf it's all we can do to score a consolation TD on our last turn to lose 2-1. Congrats RealMadns!
