PeteW hired Skuttlespike Star player.
One of the rats niggled prematch.

With a significantly weaker team on paper, the zons had to face PeteW's rats. Another tough ask, but this time not strength of orcs, but the agility of gutters!

It was a messy game with plenty of fouls being put in and players going off injured or KO'd. At one point the Rat Ogre was knocked out, and seemingly was too afraid to come back on the pitch. The girls played a slow game, aware that any silly mistake could cost them against these mobile rats.

In the end it came down to numbers on the pitch, and a good use of a boot here and there and some good tackles on the gutters turned the game in the girls favour.

By half way through the 2nd half it was all over for the rats as the zons stalled to victory and eventually went over for a 2-0 win... obviously after fouling skuttlespike once more at PeteWs request!

Shame to see PeteW retire his rats, but it was on the cards before the final started, so I didn't feel too bad.

It will be a VERY tough time for the girls in the premiership, facing off against 2 CD teams that are about 100TR above the girls. I suspect that it won't be long before I have to start a new team for the Season 10. Was a fun journey though.”
