“Crunch time was upon us in the Clone Wars. Alas, it was time to face the only remaining Sith team in our System… the only team that had ever defeated us, the challenges for the System Championship, the despicable Sithtastic Bounty hunters.

With the balance of power now heavily shifted in the Jedi’s favour, the hunters were in for a big surprise, we were not the Clones they remembered, we had evolved into the Greatest Power in the Galaxy!

As usual, the Sith had pulled out their list of dirty tricks that included, taking illegal enhancements, the unsanctioned use of smelling salts and they somehow even managed to smuggle one of their hunters onto the pitch wearing his Mandalorian armour!

But they numbered only ten men, and we were a mighty fifteen strong under the scorching heat of their home world.

Our opening drive began with Sifo Dyas leading the charge against Sithtastic’s deadliest hunter, the threat that this hunter posed was highlighted when one of our clones followed up with a boot but even despite this he refused to vacate the pitch! All the while Lama Su gathered the ball.

We began to manoeuvre for the score, but newly created Project Rancor, not being the easiest creature to train, all too eagerly took down a hunter and tumbled head over heels himself. We had underestimated our opponents and in the few short minutes that ensued Sifo Dyas and Lama Su had been removed from the field and the ball had been ripped free!

All looked lost right there… but then Taun We heard the ghostly words, “The force will be with you… always” and after recovering the ball twice, she then spotted a lone clone that had made a break for it and threw a completed pass! A failed blitz by the hunters left us to complete the score and recover from a near disaster.

Project Rancor and Sifo Dyas were still out but Lama Su had recovered and took the field with his Padawan. The eight Hunters lined up for the drive, but Lama Su used his telekinesis to rearrange his perplexed clones, much to the dismay of the hunters. A great kick and failed pick up resulted in a swarm of Clone Troopers surrounding the ball and providing safe passage for Taun We to score her first TD!

Sifo Dyas had returned for the second half even if Project Rancor had not. The hunters made a determined move to the flank, out bashing us. Their deadly hunter even seriously injured one of the clones early on, requiring the medic’s attention and unwavering skill… we have still to lose a single player on his watch!

Lama Su and Sifo Dyas hung back whilst the clones peppered the hunters and tied them up. The hunters broke a couple of their men towards the endzone, but they were no match for Order 66’s Jedi who finally succeeded in taking control of the second half and taking the ball. The clones then used the final, safe, minutes to gather some much needed ball experience before making the final score 3 – 0.

We have now broke the headlock in Dagobah and taken the lead. Our Clones continue to develop and strengthen whilst our Jedi’s excel exponentially!
It is hard to see defeat in our future.

Have to admit, when you took both my top Jedi out and seemed to have control over the first half, were it not for the other gutter and some luck this game may have been a very different outcome.
