“A convincing victory for the Vooseplein Vandals, despite the absence of Blitzer Flash. The Vandals won the toss and elected to receive. The half started nicely for the Orcs, with thrower Bigjobz catching the ball directly from the kick. The first half was dominated by classic orcish cage play as the Vandals worked the ball down their left hand side. Despite the appearance of both sides' apothecaries early on, it was a relatively bloodless first half with Wanderers giving as much as they got. The elvish defense couldn't unsettle the orcs play, and the Bigjobz ran in the ball in the eighth turn to give the Vandals a 1-0 lead at half time.

The Wanderers received the kick in the second half and lost no time in moving the ball to Lion Warrior Saeros and trying to break through the vandals defense on the left wing. The orcish line held and Saeros weathered several blocks before switching the play to the right with phoenix warrior Ainandil. Bigjobz and Gash rushed out of defense to double-team the thrower, knocked him over and grabbed the ball. Bigjobz was heading downfield when Arien dodged past the two orcs protecting him and blitzed Bigjobz into the crowd! Fortunately for the Vandals' thrower, he landed amongst his own supporters and was only stunned. When the ball came back in Fanuilos fumbled it and left himself open to be blitzed by Gash, who scooped up the ball. The Wanders qucikly surrounded the orcish blitzer, but he rode the tackles and bashed his way out of the pack to run in the second touchdown in the 7th turn. 2-0 to the Vandals!

The teams knocked lumps out of each other for the last two turns, but the only casuality was Thrugg who was badly hurt by Earil, giving the elvish fans something to cheer about at last.
