It was looking tough from start.
Up against Ramtut and 4 other mummies and two of them had SideStep.
This is going to be tricky.
Kick off started and we were slowly moving anticipating the str5 monsters.
A stone from the side line stunned Zara instantly.

Having been trying to foul a mummy I missed to get him down even if he did not have the block skill and those Stakes on Zara missed their opportunity as well.
My runner was pushed up against the side line and it was a matter if I should roll some 1d blocks or getting my Slayer free with two sprints. It is 1 on a dice in any case.
And If I managed I would probably run home to the Scorpions TouchDown field.
But nuffle said Noooo.
And then we lost the ball.
4+ and 3+ in order to 2d block and then 3+ to get the ball again with zara but I missed the 4+ and there could be no TD this half.
Perfect situation for the Dead. Only one drive remained and it was theirs.

A bad start with a bad kick.
But the mummy (with the ball) had to retreat when they could not get those bearded folks to the ground.
And then it got worse. But I was so close to get a good punch on the mummy. But again, it was hard and several attempts and dauntless failed and Skull rr skull knocked out Zara.
Another Skull rr skull injured my Blitzer, but then in Turn 7 I got the beast down with (finally ) some luck. But when the Scorpions just have used two RR’s throughout the game entirely the pickup turned out to be a 6 of course.

45% after the first half for me and ending up at 49% and I think I lost the game when the second half started with a bad kick. Any way, when does the next Tour start?
This Tour thing is the funniest thing that happened to Fumbbl.

150 Minors Round III and our khemri face some tough dwarves (3 +STR increases!), with Zara hired we go for Ramtut to give her something to stab.

We also come up with something slightly more devious.. just as the ball is kicked high into the air with most of the crowd straining to see where it's going to land the *krak* of a high-powered musket rings out. Sniper! And Zara's down!! Wait- she's going to be ok, she's only taken a hit in the leg and will only be slowed for a turn.

Meanwhile their runner has been awarded a touchback and the dwarves form a loose cage right around him. The two sides meet in the middle in a long brawl around the line of scrimmage, with the dwarves managing to kill our blitz-ra (regen) and force our DP to try and dodge away from Zara (KO) meaning they are getting a dangerous number advantage.

Finally on our 4th turn we manage to land a casualty- BHing their +STR guard blitzer, excellent! The opposing coach decides to save him with their apothecary- lets get some more casualties ASAP! The dwarves go for a double GFI to engineer a push to get a slayer free to cause some havoc on the sideline where we have their runner pinned against the edge of the pitch but even with a reroll they slip up and we're able to eject the ball into the crowd!

It lands back near our endzone but we're first to get there and manage to grab it with a skeleton, however despite marching slowly up the pitch we don't have near enough time to get a touchdown before half time. No more injuries halt play before the whistle brings this half to a close, 0-0 the score. Their DP has however failed to wake up and will at least miss the first drive.

We set up and watch the dwarves attempt a complicated back-spinning kick that ends up sailing right out of the stands. The ref awards a touchback and one of our mummies is glad to start with the ball. We move him just behind our main offensive line and start probing forwards looking for a way through. We get our chance when Zara tries for a brave blitz that fails when she just isn't dauntless enough to take on one of our mummies, who knocks her out cold! This lets us push down one sideline with one of our side-step mummies holding the ball in some safety (both remaining dauntless slayers being at the other side of the pitch). The dwarves are forced to try some desperate blitz attempts like a 1d block on ramtut that gives them a skull-rerolled-skull and leaves their +str blitzer seriously injured!

It looks like we have the game sewn up with one turn to go but a superb blitz from their prone runner (dodge into TZ, dodge out, -2d blitz for double pow!) knocks over the mummy with the ball!! The dwarven fans go crazy- there's a chance of extra time now! Fortunately we have our +AGI blitz-ra standing nearby and he's able to run into the endzone and make the pickup to win the game!

Cheers for the game Bantha, was a good game though I was certainly favoured by the dice .. this time :)
