Grimtoof's Gutrippers entered the Blood Bowl Arena to play DreamSlayer, another novice team.

DreamSlayer received the opening kickoff and efficiently sprung Vampire Kriest Blackknife to score. Undeterred the Gutrippers took control from the ensuing restart and a pinpoint pass from Thrower Chukkit allowed Blitzer Grimtoof, the team's captain and inspiration, to storm across the line at the whistle.

After the exciting and free-flowing first half, the second half proved to be somewhat of a disappointment. The Gutrippers stuck to their high-flying passing game but bad drops by Grimtoof and his fellow blitzer Gorblad prevented them from scoring. For their part DreamSlayer nearly created some openings but slipped up (literally) at vital moments.

Player of the Game: Grimtoof. Yes, he dropped a pass but he did score on debut and was an inspiration to the team. Rightfully awarded the MVP Award.

Honourable Mention: Chukkit. Precision passes gave the Gutrippers the chance of victory, only for his receivers to let him down.
