“Despite what should have been a decisive advantage in strength Grimtoof's Gutrippers suffered a humiliating loss to a team of halflings.

Despite receiving the opening kickoff, the Gutrippers failed to make any progress thanks to a litany of errors and opportunistic Halfling Lamre pounced on a loose ball caused by the swarming Potluck defence to score just before the halftime whistle.

The second half started with Potluck receiving the ball. The Orcs tried to make the most of their physical superiority but the halflings were actually winning the war of attrition, knocking the dangerous Black Orcs and Blitzers out of the game with regularity. With only six of the Gutrippers team on the pitch Halfling Boffin Flambard was able to cross the line escorted by a swarm of his teammates.

Despite some of their woozier players recovering the Gutrippers were able to get eight players on the the pitch for a shot at a consolation score. Lobbit completed a cunning pass to Garnag who looked like he was headed for the endzone. Despite seriously injuring Halfling Brandobras Spinner he was unable to make it before the clock ran out.

Player of the Game: Garnag. In a dreadful game for the Gutripper's blitzers, Garnag provided some consolation with a strong performance capped by his valiant final attempt at a score.”
