“After their dire loss to the halflings of Potluck, Grimtoof's Gutrippers got back on track with a tight win against the undead of the Afterlife Archons.

The Archons had the first possession but excellent defensive play from Gorblad and Grimtoof snuffed out the danger and allowed Gorblad to counter attack. He was only prevented from scoring by excellent work from Ghoul Callias Scambonides. Both sides looked to have a chance to score but in the end the half ended before anyone could make any real progress.

The half started badly for the Gutrippers as they failing to make any impression on the line of scrimmage and Chukkit fumbled the ball in the open field twice before throwing an errant pass. Callias Scambonides grabbed the ball but Scargul wrestled the ball from him. The Archons effectively blocked Scargul but they were unable to prevent Grimtoof seizing the ball, fighting his way through two defenders and running it in for a touchdown. Unfortunately Skullcracker was killed by Mummy Pythostratus while covering his run.

With very little time on the clock the Archons tried for an equalizer but some dropped passes and stout defence from the Gutrippers prevented them, allowing Grimtoof's team to run out deserved victors after a tough, hard fought match.

Player of the Game: Grimtoof. As usual Grimtoof proved to be an inspiration and his score proved to be the difference between the teams.”
