“The luck totals are screwed because our game was a casualty of the fumbbl proxy crash.
A brutal match for PainState, his marauders were laying down the undead often enough, but unable to break their armour. Nobbla had a minor impact early on and was well protected, but the Choir managed to lull him to an eternal sleep.
Once the Choir had a few casualties under their belts, they were able to swarm the remainder of the Marauders -- and to put in the boot. The match was still open, when there was a disastrous turn that saw the death of Lord Primex and the remaining chaos warrior KO'd.
PainState was in the game until the very end, and almost grabbed the win late in the second half. The Choir grabbed the ball and attempted a pass to score, but were unsurprisingly denied.
Overtime saw five marauders remaining against the full strength undead team. With no re-rolls, the ball handling skills deserted the beast-elfs and the undead were able to grind their way into the end-zone to advance to the next round.
Keeler the dirty skeleton had a significant impact, accounting for several of his ground-bound opponents. Very deserving of the MVP.
Thanks to a patient and challenging coach for a great nail-biter.”
“Marauders take it on the chin in the Fumbbl tour opening round and eventually lose in a tough fought overtime loss. Had numerous chances to win this one but just could not get the ball over the goal line. Had 3 shots at the end of the second half to go up 2-1 but could not pick up a critcal ball and failed 2 GFI at the worst possible time.
Lord Primex warlord of Northern Kislev and leader of 17 succesful campaigns of carnage was finally put down by Anubias. My chaos knights forgot there armor this game as each one of them spent most of the game on the ground stunned. The mummies were blowing through their armor like hot knives.
Did not keep stats for this game but the skulls were flying for both teams and multiple TO's on bad block dice was had by both sides. The GFI button was once again glitched as the Marauders had 6 TO's on failed GFI's.
Good game swampy and good luck in the next round.”
