The Addicts went up against Tasman and his very game pro elves, including the rarely-seen Prince Moranian.
The Elves received and quickly scored in 2 turns, even in the rain, as the Addicts were unable to prevent the lightning strike offense.
The Addicts then received in the rain and Cris quickly corraled the ball and nestled safely in his cage most of the half, but the big hitters manaqed only a couple of KOs. Our friendly neighborhood DP did RIP the Prince, but he was saved by an on the spot apoth. DP was later ejected on a failed second effort.
Tasman made a nice defensive effort and even eventually knocked the ball free, but Luthor was able to scoop up the ball after a lucky bounce and tie it at halftime 1-1.
Addicts received in the rain second half and proceeded to grind down the under-manned elves all 8 turns, managed to foul regularly without being caught. In the end, superior number and superior luck saved the day for another overall tournament win for the Addicts.
Very nicely played by Tasman, but not much he could do. Rematch any time!
