“Things were going according to plan until a particular sidestepping dorf stopped my advance. I spent a total of 12 dice on him without getting him down - the last 3 dices were skulls and a couple of ag2 dodges later the ball was loose and i never really recovered from that.

so, start of the 2. I got a good kick and lined up for the hard, slow defense. again, things were going according to plan and i broke through the line of dorfs threatening the carrier until i botched up the pushes and made a line of mummies and dorfs, stopping my own guys from getting back to secure against the long pass into nothing.
