Death Valley, CA (Undead Press)

The Syndicate fall yet again to a quicker more agile team. This team either needs more re rolls or I need to stop putting them in reroll situations. Believe me, there were lots of opportunities where his Rat Ogre screwed him and the door was open. I just cant seem to get through it. And how is it possible that these mummies didnt have a CAS? Argh. Oh well.

On the upside, the Syndicate got some nice cash and was able to buy a 3rd Mummy. They also hired a professional image consultant and loaded up a new logo for their helmets. Maybe this addition will inspire the Undead Syndicate to at least score a TD!

Also on the upside, met a great coach, Meetgrinder who I would play again any time. I just want to win! :)

Thanks for the kind comments. The Skaven team I had intended to retire so that I could make a new open one, but it was my first game for 6 months so figured it didn't matter if they won or lost. As it was, the Rat Ogre really was very very rubbish, and hardly served any useful purpose in the game at all. When the games restarted I had to force myself to put him on the team, but would have been too short of players if not.

TSteamer is a very gracious coach - When presented with the chance to stomp the players, he kept the stomping to a minimum, and was unlucky not to inflict anything worse than one Badly Hurt, which the apothecary saved. The luck was more in favour of my team despite what the 'luck' says, especially for important plays.

In the end, 2-0 flatters because the Necros were dominant in the block, just got bogged down in the 2nd half when the RO finally did somethng useful to drag down the ball carrier. Gutter runners are, and will always be, what Skaven are about, and #3 on the Skaven side scored the 2nd TD when handed the ball unopposed on the Necro end zone line.

Excellent sport on the other side, no whinging, whining etc and extremely patient when my comp crashed, and getting the game running in the first place, cause I've been out so long. More than happy to play you again mate and I'll give you the chance to beat me anytime you want - the wins will come, it's just that sometimes, you don't know where from!

Regards, Paul (Meetgrinder)
