#2 Requiescat In Pace – Dead (RIP) #6 Luctor et Emergo – Dead (RIP)
“It was expected to be a bloody affair, with the rather dastardly looking teamsheet for Corpse Factory featuring more foulers than could be fielded, meaning some had to wait their turn before they could stamp on the opposition. Star beastman Nullis Secundus was missing from the teamsheet, which made the match look that much tougher for VeV.
Coach Chainsaw dismissed complaints that the team apothecary was propping up the bar, having already failed to restore a warrior in the previous game. If Coach Chainsaw can do his job whilst a bit tipsy, so can the apothecary! However the apothecary was unable to save warrior Requiescat In Pace (R.I.P.) as he knocked himself out in a drunken sprawl when attempting to jump out of the dugout. He just didn't see that mummy who stood between the him and the stricken warrior.
The comparative gap in skill was obvious throughout the game - VeV were far better with the ball and thus managed to score a nice touch down before successfully turning over the offense in the second period. Corpse Factory attmpted to do what they did best, and foul their way through the chaos players but they were not on form and made little impact with their dirty tactics. Thus the game was won by the chaos team and Coach Chainsaw is off to have a celebratory drink with the apothecary, should be wake up in time!
For VeV the game was soured by the late death of star beastman Luctor et Emergo. As the chaos team swarmed through the khemri offense, he was fouled by an eager skeleton who succeeded in jamming a broken bone through a gap in the armour and straight into the chest of Luctor. With the apothecary needing medical attention of his own, it was a spectacular end to a glorious career.”
