“The dodging game went well, but the dorfs were just too much for me.
Also, due to a bit of a long game and time constraints, I ended up just setting up 3 players the second half and letting him run out the clock.
I did get in 2 wonderfully silly plays. Both of them failed, but they were still noteworthy. Turn 8 of the first half, I have the usual run-hand-off-pass set up, but my only receiver in TD range has 5 men on him (I ran turn 7 rather poorly...). The lion warrior needed 2 dodges (with no Team RRs and both against a tackler) at 3+ and 2+ and 2 gfis to get into the endzone. That would have set up a long pass with Kahlua (back on the top 10 passers, btw) on a 2 or 3+ with a RR to the easy catch. Sadly, poor Limone tripped on the first dodge.
The second play was about 3 turns into the second half when I only had 3 men on the field. All 3 started the turn on the ground, but fortunately Dan's BC had just dropped the ball, which scattered out of bounds for a big throw-in. My blodging, leaping, sidestepping DW got free and at the end of long bomb range while my rookie line-elf dodged out from inbetween 2 tacklers, grabbed the ball with a gfi and went for another space to get in range. All without a RR left. The pass may have been good, but Dan's OTHER BC managed to intercept it! Certainly made for a fun game, I just wish I'd been able to really play it out to the end.
Thanks for the game, Dan.”
