Note, luck readings out due to a disconnection early in the first half.
---------
A very funny game.

I started on song with the ball, forming a strong cage which Silver Tree Wardancer dArk0nE hurt injured himself on trying to bust open with his Strip Ball skill (2 dice blitz my choice, one skull, and he Badly Hurt himself on turn 1? of the match).

I advanced the cage strongly, and then killed my opponent's remaining Wardancer with a block. At this time, my opponent dropped out before the apothecary roll was made on my end. We agreed to play on with his Wardancer benched but his apothecary intact (treat his player as BH without using the Apothecary and I lose my 2 SPP).

With so few elves on the pitch, I decided to play funny buggers and tried to pass the ball to my AG 3 Black Orc Blocker on 28 SPP to score. He dropped the ball twice, and the ball was stolen and sent WAY down the other side of the pitch and it looked like Silver Tree would score first.

However, their ball carrier tripped and lost the ball and this allowed the Boyz to recover the ball, throw a long pass, hand off and score (with no rerolls left).

Silver Tree only had 9 players who could take the field (soon reduced to 8) but still managed an easy score against the Boyz after penetrating the Ork team's backfield with several players.

In the second half, Silver Tree started in offence with 6 players jammed in tight on the line of scrimmage, but a blocking error (double skulls rerolled into double skulls) allowed the Boyz to swing around the side of the line and steal the ball and throw it into their own backfield where it went uncaught onto the astroturf.

Silver Tree stormed forward and stole the ball back themselves deep in Skarr Boyz territory only to have it knocked free again. Silver Tree pressured Da Skarr Boyz, with one player near the ball and another putting a putting a tackle zone on the Boyz Thrower. However, Black Orc Blocker Nagrok Legsnapper then made a spectacular play, blitzing both Silver Tree players with a Multiblock hit and knocking out both of them!

Da Skarr Boyz picked up the ball, threw it downfield and scored a quick TD to take the score to 2-1 in their favour.

On the next drive, Silver Tree again lined up with 8 players with 6 in the middle and two out back and again a blocking error (Skull, rerolled to Skull) allowed Da Boyz to swarm into the backfield. The ball was still safe, but when their blitzing player tripped over deep in Da Boyz backfield (GFI fail, reroll fail) and stunned himself, the Silver Tree Thrower didn't know what to do with the ball and coughed it up when he was mugged by two Orc Blitzers. A third Orc Blitzer dodged his way to the ball and scored another quick TD to take the score to 3-1.

On the final drive, Silver Tree set up again with a similar formation and this time, it was a dodging error that allowed Da Boyz to crush their line of scrimmage and swarm their backfield again. Another dodging error by Silver Tree saw a huge Orc lineman (Str 4) blitz their ball carrier but somehow (the Thrower did not have Block or Dodge) he survived the hit (2 dice rerolled) and managed to then throw the ball deep downfield!

Da Skarr Boyz then pulled off a jammy play, with one player chasing down the ball carrier and splatting him (one dice pow against a player without Block or Dodge) and then their Thrower running back and throwing a Long Pass downfield.

This Long Pass sailed wide over the head of the intended receiver (who was going to run and hand off the ball to someone in range of the endzone anyway) into the arms of another Skarr Boyz player who had the speed left to score in the dying seconds of the match! (I missed the pass and it scattered three times in the right direction to land on my AG4 Blitzer). This allowed Da Boyz to score a 4th TD to finish the match. To add insult to injury, the player who caught the ball and was in range to score did not do so himself, but handed off to another player (AG 3 without reroll) to score instead!
-----
A very funny game. Congratulations to my opponent who maintained his good humour despite his appalling luck. He had Double Skulls rerolled to Double Skulls allowing me to steal the ball. Next drive, he had Skull rerolled to Skull, then a failed GFI rerolled and failed again allowing me to steal the ball again.

Then his failed Dodges allowing me to steal get all over him to eventually score when I had the incredibly lucky missed pass land on another player who caught it (on turn 8) to set up a 4th score.

All the luck went my way today, with the small bits of luck my opponent having here and there not being anywhere close enough to overcome the early loss of both his Wardancers.

Still a great fun coach to play against and a fun game marred only by the double loss in Fan Factor.
