“This was a titanic clash between two equals typified by the opening action of the game.
Too Human's Minataur, Jotun, charged headlong into the opposition Ogre knocking him flat. The bull then rampaged about the soft centre of the Hammer of Valknut, but they proofed to be nuts and stood up to this stampede.
In the mean time Baldr had passed the ball into a dangerous stab through the middle that was leapt upon by as many Hammer's as could get there. The possesion fell to the Hammer's whose counter attack fell short moments later.
Baldr once again made a pass from deep back into threatening territory, Hermod skipped tyrough the mayhem of blocking and saw Blitzer, Borr, in the end zone. It only needed a casual pass of a few yards and Too Human would be in the lead. The ball slipped from Hermod's grasp. As he looked into his empty hands baffled he was sacked hard from the side by Ulf, and spent the rest of the game knocked out.
A bloody brawl grew around the fallen ball until the half ended, the Norse on both sides showing there brute strength, disregard for armour and inability to pick up pig bladders.
The two depleted teams faced each other for the second half kick off. Once again the Minataur charged too the heart of the matter. but this time its frenzy got the better of it and, clutching at Hammer's thrower, Urson, who flipped the great beast over, using its momentum. Now with the freedom of the pitch opening up before him Urson Bearstrangler ran for it. The Hammer' of Valknut took the lead. 0-1.
The few norse standing faced off with steel in their eyes. Too Human hit hard and hit fast and made a great break but Urson Bearstrangler was able to get across and put in the tackle. On the line of Scrimmage men were dropping like flies. a scuffle started around the fallen ball once again. No one norse having the ability to pick up the darned thing.
The Blitzer Grendl Murder manged to clam the Minataur for a moment and the Lump started making an impact in Too Human's linemen. Eventually Hammer of Valknut got a number advantage. Ursonn picked up the ball, much to the crowds astonishment and threw long into the cluster of norse on the line of scrimmage. The ball slipped out of Grendl's hands, but Klimt made an attempt, only to fail also, Finally the ball stopped with Olaf, who made a break for the end zone.
The Minataur Jotun bellowed. He trampled the Ogre in his way and caught up with Olaf. The crowd roared as this Tower of muscle blitzed its way around the field.
But behind it the Lump was shaking off another bruising tackle from the bull. The hillock of an Ogre gave its head a few good shakes and then focused on the Minataurs back. Wham! the Ogre eventually got one back on the Lordly Minataur, forcing it to chew grass. Olaf didn't wait and legged it for the line. 0 - 2.
With time almosrt up the next kick off gave the bull one last opportunity to charge the Ogre, horns down. The Ogre was rammed high and landed with a thud that shook the stands. but he was intact.
