Bang! Bang!
The game started off with a blitz for us and a bit of scrimmage ensued.
With some Dorf assistance in T2 a lone HobGob got the ball and ran into cover… it looked promising for a defensive score… but then the blasted server went down!
At the reload, well at the sixth reload, it seemed we couldn’t get a good load (Spub tried both inc and dat) where I could move several of my players never mind attempt to get the ball as I had before the crash.
With my guys well out of position, Spubbbba managed to easily retrieve the ball and make a break. He was doing a good job of stalling as my short legged players tried to give chase and all I could muster was to force him to score with two turns remaining for a reply.
Our bootiful persuasion had come at a cost for him though, a couple SIs and several KOs.
The MA7 Hob took the field and we set up for the patented, often attempted, double barrel score which we pulled off quite nicely, if not somewhat luckily, making all the dice rolls bar a GFI that was re-rolled.
Those of Spubbbba’s chaps that where in the KO box decided that by the looks of the CAS box, they were better placed right there.
G&B made a hash of their LOS and compensated by niggling the big fat ogre that had been such a pain to them in the first half. Bristle tried to make a retaliatory foul but fell short of having someone to boot. With that, Bristle opted for the better part of valour and left G&B to it.
Bristle made a couple more sly attempts at a hit and run foul, and their players stayed away from the dwarven horde or remained grounded, we however ceased fouling… short in stature, big bigger in morality. :)
Expecting a T16 foul, the unused wizard was brought in to dispatch the remaining Bristle DP, and niggled him off the field… the lightening bolt was the first of the fireworks to go off in celebration of a rare G&B victory this season.

I actually played like a complete twonk… messing LOS setups up, even forgetting to field my best CD on one drive, and generally not making the right chain pushes. With a performance like that, I can only put the victory down to good AV/Inj dice.
GG Spub.
