“The two teams met early this morning to play their first games in the RotJ championship. IFC arrived at the pitch visibly gloomy (Doom’n’Gloom) because of the new 4 vs. 4 rules, while CA seemed even stronger (Illegal Drugs). Then the game started. Elves had to kick and set up with 4 droids. IFC brought up all they had: Both Jedis and their best developed clones. The kickoff landed deep in their half, in the hands of an inactive player. Captian Piett sprinted back to get the ball handed off.
ILLEGAL PROCEDURE! What? CAs coach started to discuss. Well, as I now reviewed the rules, he is/was right. But is it so wrong to handoff the ball? Its not, that I moved my inactive player half the field just to get an advantage! (This action even costs IFC a reroll). Luckily I was able to convince boruppeter that this did nothing to the game. By loosing a RR it was even against IFC. So we played on! (Thanks to borup for being so merciful *irony off*).
Lets get back to the game: Hm, nothing happened here. It was too easy for Piett to carry the ball all the way from backfield to the opponents half, while Tarkin, #18763 and #27459 were hitting 3 out of 4 unskilled clones into the KO Box. Piett was even stalling it out. Man, if we had a spec in that game, he was fallen asleep by now! Halftime.
2nd Half was just the other way round to first half! Boring too, and with an easy score for CAs Asajj Ventress. Nothing more or less. Just to remind everybody. With the old rules CA would have fielded only 3 players…
Overtime: Unfortunately all Specs died of boredom, because now it got interesting. CA received and had the ref to foul their way through the rest of the game. POW Piett KO-fouled. POW Tarkin KO-fouled. #48165 with the ball running. CA still with the focus on fouling (#27459 KO-fouled) leaves him room to run down the field and throw the ball towards the endzone in an empty spot. Asajj Ventress tripping on a gfi to stop him, gives him that chance to become the man of the match…
A boring game was luckily won by me. borups play was not bad. He just was not lucky in the end and focused on things that were not benefited, such as fouling or lamenting. No offense meant, borup! ”
