“Ice Nine double jumps to Veteran and learns its lesson!
Outmatched by the powerful Black Fire Blitzers, (who Ryce has taught a lesson or two in the past with his old team, Icy Black Hand of Death... once), Ice Nine tried to bring their game up.
The injured Absolut Zero scored early and things looked good until a dwarf dodged two tackle zones and scored in the final seconds of the first half to tie things up. The ineffectual fouler, Lou Igloo finally got tossed more out of shame than anything else. The troll was killed on a risky block by the dwarves, and then failed to regen, forcing Ryce to use his apothecary.
The niggled Albsolut killed a dwarf so badly that their own apo coulding bring him back. Still, the dwarves put another one on the board (again scoring off a dodge... elfy bastards). Still, Absolut showed true legendary potential when he dodged through several tz, picked up a ball and headed for the tie. But the dwarves caught up and the bull centaur got pinned. Then Hide Collector fell trying to help the other cds hurt some dwarves, forcing him to miss a game.
Good job, steel. I tried, but you played well. Good luck with the rest of the season!
“An excellent match! This game truly came down to the wire. Turn 16, all bets are off, no rerolls, Bull Centaur tied up with 2 dwarf tacklers. He has stand firm, but not break tackle. He was unable to escape their clutches and the game was secured.
Alan Forgica, #66, the Teams season-9 MVP showed his worth gain, taking out the troll single-handedly with a shattering block. Had the apothecary not made it in time, the Ice Nine would be looking to hire a new troll. Still, the match was costly when longbeard #74, Willie Colon suffered a life-threatening shot, having his skull crushed. There was nothing left for the apothecary to work with.
The team will once again re-hire Crush Keamotu, #68, who was cut at the beginning of season 10 for salary cap reasons. Suddenly, we have an opening for a new player.
Good Game Johnny, but the grudge has been avenged, and the Black Fire Pass Blitzers rumble on.”
