#9 Magnus the Masher – Smashed Knee (NI)
This was a lesson in not giving up. After a horrible start with the key player Bjaldir niggling out, an early turnover, bad coaching and an opponent dirty player that snapped off arms, ripped out eyes and decimated the Blitzers without the ref so much as lifting a finger the vision of anything but a huge loss was slim.

But somehow the Blitzers, aided by fortunate dodging and grim determination, managed to break free from the surrounding rotters and score late in the first half.

In the second half the Blitzers knew what they could accomplish and despite being heavily pushed back in their defensive lines they managed to steal the ball from the beastman monster Snyder. What looked like a defensive stall to avoid a loss became an offensive drive and in the end the Blitzers won the match.

I gotta say, Mastermind, I enjoyed how that quite patronizing remark about finding excuses for losing came back to haunt you. But I'm big enough to admit that I had luck on my side in the second half. Thanks for the match.
