“Having been beaten soundly in their last match, Mummification went into this game in determined mood and it showed. It took until turn 8 to make a foul in the previous match, and immediately set about correcting the problem with 2 fouls in 3 turns, removing the dangerously strong mummy Mackaay from the game. This spurred on the the rest of the team and the nicely skilled zombie Eutanazijus Barikada was on the wrong end of one of the hardest hits ever to take place on a blood bowl field - his various body parts failing to regenerate after mummy Ib had scattered them down the sidelines.
With the undead team looking a lot weaker for the returning drive, a victory looked inevitable but that made the team complacent. Star skeleton Fibula, the fulcrum of the team, got overconfident and stood far too close to an angry mummy. Bebeto, out for revenge, smashed Fibula about the head so hard that his skull cracked wide open and he'll never be as tough again!
With Fibula out of the game, the Mummification players panicked and the Trokeless players were rejuvenated. A mad scramble for the ball ensued but luckily for the Khemri team the ball bounced inbetween two of their mummies and, with the other two close by, there was little Coach Genif could do to organise a play that would steal the ball and steal a draw. Several Mummification players could be seen to be sobbing about the injury to Fibula, so a second touchdown was never really on the cards and in the end the victory was a little lucky.
They tried to exact some revenge late on with a needless foul on a ghoul. To the crowd's dismay, they could only hurt the undead creature.”
