#1 Jose Placido de Castro – Serious Concussion (-AV)
“Kondor crossed the pitch and shook hands with Coach Gomez. This was the second time that teams of theirs had met. The first time, Gomez had walked away with the win. This time he should have done so as well.
Kondor was outplayed. He saw his elves making too many risky moves, but fortunately, the chaos team must have slept in late or something because everything they did went wrong.
Strong players pushing the elves around while assisted blocks found the blocker taken down as often as his target.
The score should have been an easy 1-0 win for the chaos team, but a second half blitz gave the ball to the Tropa, and both teams' luck continued until somehow the Baron of the Amazon managed to actually pick up the ball and run towards the endzone. At last the tie was broken.
That would prove to be the only score in one of the most ugly games Kondor had ever seen.
----------------------------
49-54 luck? Don't know how. It seemed like 35-30 luck. That was an ugly, ugly game that I never should have won.
I'll watch for you Gomez. Maybe next time we can give the undead a go.”
“This one was so bad, I watched the replay immediately afterward, to make sure I wasn't over-reacting. Consensus: it was awful.
Just as an example, 8 of my turns ended in double skulls (including 5 straight to end the first half). Only having 2 RR's, I anticipated trouble handling the football, but that was easy compared to the blocking. Absolutely brutal. And Kondor wasn't spared, either - 5 of his turns ended with 1's.
It may have been ugly, but Nuffle was rubbing himself with glee all the way through.
