“A rematch of two strong teams. The last match went into OT before it was decided and Asher's Hobgoblins infliced 9 CAS - including 3 RIPs (one saved by apoth). That match was a tough one for the Gygaxes and they were ready for revenge. We received to start the first half and pounded away - it was tough going as our fouls were useless (no one fouled with the eye on them...yet we were caught 2 of 3 times and the Orcs were caught 1 of 2 times - it was one strict ref). However, we got a break when Asher delivered a crushing blow against kfoged - a very nice orc blitzer...who was mortally wounded - too much for the apothecary to save him. Even with a few double skulls, the outcome looked promising as orcs were steadily removed from the pitch. The critical moment came on T7 where we attempted to knock away a blak orc...but 4 dice and no pow or pow/pushback...and the BOB stood firm. Thus were were forced to dodge...hobgoblin had dodge, so 3+ with RR...but it failed...and with it our chance for a sure score...so the half ended in a 0-0 tie.

In the second half, the orcs pushed forward, but on the first turn, a swift blow from Nut nailed the Orc troll (Cyco) so hard it keeled over...regeneration failed...just like the apothecary and there was a second body for the morgue. More orcs were removed from the pitch to the KO...and even though we suffered more double skulls than was healthy, Asher finally decided he had to just do this himself - snagged the ball off the ground, he raced upfield himself...and scored on T15 for the 1-0 lead and with no troll for a TTM, it was over.

Another hard fought game...and another game in which the orcs lose 2 valuable players. Well played and thanks! Hope the luck for you team turns around.”
