Clearly, having the ref for the entire first half and failing to injure anyone with well placed boots is your first sign the day was going poorly.

Yet, the most telling moment was early in the first half when the Cats looked to have an easy TD after a nasty pitch invasion left only 3 rats standing. Cesspool moved over to pick up the ball and promptly dropped it. The elves moved to keep the rats down, but the first elf to block went down with the rat he was blocking. Now most of the vermin were on their feet, and chasing the lonely thrower who really had no chance alone.

The ensuing TD put the rats ahead by two scores, and they never looked back.

The highlight of the game for the elves came in the first half when Andy put the boot to Igor and would have killed him if the apothecary had not been so quick to respond. Good apothecary.
