“Kondor crossed the pitch and shook hands with Coach Fangbanger. He had led his lads admirably, and it looked as if they would easily secure the win. After complimenting him on his coaching, Kondor returned to the locker room and reflected on the days events.

The first half of the game was an odd one. It started with a blitz, and Scooby Doo rushed in to injure an orc blitzer, and the apothecary was on the field before the opening whistle blew.

At first, the orcs looked surrounded, but with some ingenuity, the managed to move the ball down the field and score. Horrifically, in the process, shorty lit fire to Scooby's wrappings, and he was quickly returned to his sarcophagus. (I expect that to be touted in Shorty's bio.) One kill for shorty.

The second half was full of thrilling desperation plays by Mystery Inc. The Phantom diver started it off by taking the pitch and sprinting down the southern sideline. Once, the ball popped out and was picked up by an orc, only to see the Diver kick him in the crotch and politely ask for the ball back. It was returned, and the Diver moved on to score a few moments later.

With the score tied, Kondor conferenced with the ref, and tried to convince him that there was no need to kick off again. He did not buy it, and the ball was returned to the orcs.

The ensuing drive was one for the ages. The orcs drove north bashing and being bashed, but looked to secure the win. Fred was surrounded by three orcs. Surely, he would fall, and the orcs would pick it up and score. But Nuffle smiled on Fred. He dodged twice through and out of tackle zones, and found Velma open in her tight hunter orange sweater for the long bomb. For a moment,it looked like Fred would drop it, but he pump faked and threw it on a bead to the nerdy bomb shell who sprinted for the go ahead score.

So, today we mourn the death of Scooby, but he will be resurrected in a game or two. Instead we hand out our Scooby snack awards.
