Dorfs receive first half but quickly get bogged down, largely thanks to The Streets of Laredo, the blodge-troll. Poems manage to get a 2d-block on the ball, but fail and the dorfs march onwards, causing some KOs and cas as they go. A failed block gives Poems another go at the ballkeeper, this time bringing him down. Sadly Zara swoops in and picks up the ball and manage to score in T8. Poems manage poorly in their last turn before halftime, only managing to stun Zara with a gangfoul.
The second half goes quite well for Chaos, the move forwards, causing some cas of their own and KOs Zara. Poems score with relative ease in T16. Zara fails both KO-rolls, but all other players get back in the game.
Poems received in OT and cause two cas on LoS, one through block and one through a foul, RIPping a dauntless Longbeard. Some rather effective fouling from the dorfs evened things out a little, but not enough. The Raven was SI'd, but I chose not to use the apot, for fear of worse injuries. In hindsight I should have, but would have/could have/should have is all to easy when looking back.
Poems burn their wiz for amusement value, and score in the last turn. A 1 on the winnings-roll means no winnings and no wiz in the next game, which might prove problematic, especially since The Raven will be recuperating. I have a feeling I'll miss the ST4 Guard he provides, but I hope I can pull through anyway.
The dorfs played well enough, but some mistakes and the lack of ST4+ players meant that they could not match Poems. At Set of Sun, my ST5 guard tentacle CW, proved very useful once again, as did my troll, but the star of the game was undoubtedly The Charge of the Light Brigade, who in his first game with claw/rsc caused four cas on 19 blocks. Way to go!
Thanks for the game azyx, hope I meet you on the pitch again sometime. Now I just hope my next opponents will get hurt a little before I have to face them...
