“Kondor crossed the pitch and shook hands with coach DaSpazo. This had been a rough and tumble game highlighted by one great play and a couple of near misses.
The TD by Grey Bullcrock was easily one of the best in Blood Bowl history. In the closing seconds of the first half, Slag picked up a disputed ball and threw it to a marked Grey BullCrock, who fought off the defense to catch it and then dodge away for the score. Not bad for a seemingly clumsy centaur.
The second half saw the ball swing both ways with a trip by the minotaur giving the Guard a chance to chase down the ball. The squabble was legendary, but the guard simply could not get the bounce, or the dodge at the right moment, and it ended up being turned over to the shadow beards.
Now, things got ugly, and the beards began knocking Guardsmen out of the game, and still both sides fought on. With improbable dodges by both sides. Notably dodges by both centaurs and dwarfs. (without using that one precious reroll)
Then in the final moments, Jarhead dodged several times to put the hobgoblin in a place where he would have to dodge several times for the winning score. He tripped. Jarhead picked it up and completed a long bomb but Jolly Green could not make the final improbable move to get to the endzone.
------------------
Well played DeSpazo. The luck flowed both ways. What a wacky match. Hope you will be willing to undertake a rematch another day.”
