-did a competent cage/blockwar in my initial drive
-not sure about my rush upfield with Dieter. what's the hurry? might have been better to take my time and blockwar some more
-did a blitz/dodge to score
-stay away from wild animals or keep them down. This forces him to blitz with it or accept a 3+ negatrait roll.
-on his drive, he flooded my backfield with gutter runners. Should've kept TZ's on them. Even if not sure of preventing TD, reduces the chance.
-thought I had 2 turns to score at end of 1st half as the clock showed Turn 7. Then he kicked off and I didn't notice clock went up to Turn 8. Spent the turn trying to score instead of bashing. D'oh!!
-2nd half. On defense he kept 1 GR back near LOS (but still in scoring position). Covered most of his guys. He expertly blocked a hole and then GFI'd for the score. Should've moved up a Blitzer to mark his secondary thrower, might've taken a player out of the following turn.
Down 2-1, wanted to try for win by scoring quickly. Needed to target his key players so blitzed his +AG thrower with Ogre and got a kill. :( From there it was bash/pass/TD and tie score. But could I hold on defense??
-my 3rd defense setup seemed to work better. One mistake: Catcher Zack should have gone to center backfield on Turn 5 rather than go around bottom widezone. If ball had gone to high widezone he'd have been out of play.
-blitzed his GR off my Blitzer Vic and got another kill. :(
-Got a TZ on the ball carrier setting up a steal
-Got Blitzed by his Rat Ogre, but I stayed up and he went down (thx Nuffle), setting up a ~60% scoring chance which I converted for the win!!
-Pushbacked his lineman Orulag to wrong square but didnt matter.
Even though I killed Sworddancer's two best players, he didn't whine or complain. Sorry 'bout your guys, dude. Been there. My +MA+MA catcher Karl Quickstep bought it the same way... on some random block when I'd already apo'd.
