“Blizzard for the entire match made for an interesting game for elves.

Well I was up to kcik first. Boch made a great offensive run down my right flank all though it did seem a little crowd-push vulnerable. My players responded as best as they could and a mass 4 man crowd-surf seemed to be on the cards. Unfortunately I missed his Str 4 lineman, who started the ball rolling and it was me that ended up on the wrong side of the pitch boundaries. Follow by nice rushing TD.

Still plenty of time in the first half and my turn to receive. A mixed tactic of caging the ball (with my str 4 as the ball carrier) and running a few players towards the TD line split Nothern Woods defence as I had hoped and result in an equaliser.

With 1 turn left in the last half Boch went for went for a great push-push one turn td, but was foiled by my defensive line of tacklers.

2nd half and me to receive again, quietly confident (despite a rock SI'ing one of my players) with the 1-1 scoreline and in possession I went for the same tactic - caging my str 4 with the ball and running others forward. Amazingly his his War Dancer (no tackle) leaped into the cage and -2DB my Str 4 (blodger) carrying the ball and rolled a straight double POW! Luckily his catcher slipped on the ice pitch when trying gain possession though.

In a tight spot I felt my best hope was my ultimate weapon - the AV 5 thrower could easily recover the ball and long pass it to my un-marked blitzer for an easy rushing TD....... if only he could see him! (What's that? you can't Long Pass in blizzard!). Out of desperation and I attempted a pass to a closer player, which got intercepted and quicly put over my TD line. 2-1 down :(

Well me to receive again, only one TD down it can't be that bad right? Blitz ;,(. Luckily Bochs intended receiver slipped on the ice again and a lucky bounce made it easy for me to exploit his over-confident play, leaving uddles of space in his defence. Foolishly I scored early, thinking that I may still be able to steal a win......

4 turns left and Boch set up for the same left flank drive that earned him his first TD. What's that ref? 3 turns, ahh.... So boch proceeded to score an excellent, practically unstoppable TD an left me trying to figure out how I can score a OTT against an LOS of SF & SS...........
