“Great Game for me.

I started of receiving and immediately made the mistake of leaving my ball carrier undefended allowing a hoard of lizards to form between him and my main concentration of players. Luckily he was able run around there flank and make a quick pass to get the ball "safe" as I formed a cage.

However the lizards did a great job of pinning me down, make it difficult to make any progress and even gaining possession at one point. One slip though and I managed to make a run for it with a lone chaos warrior, shortly backed up with a couple of beastmen. His suarus where tide up blocking and those skinks, whilst annoying, where to weak to stop the inevitable turn 8 TD.

2nd Half and Exocrine tried to make make a break down my right flank with the bulk of his players and also made a lone run with a skink into the center on my half.

Fearing a crowd push scenario, with the ball carrier so close to the sideline and a frenzied saurus to hand I decided to be pro-active; Surfing him first, marking up the lone skink and trying fill any gaps on my right flank.

The lizards responded using there superior speed to switch to my left flank. Largely out-positioned I tried to reposition myself on to the left flank but was unable to stop hefty ground been made bu them nippy skinks. Fortunately the less agile suaruses were left behind, leaving me a good blitzing opportunity on the ball carrier. It was successful, but the ball scattered dangerously adjacent to the sideline.

After a turn scrambling a beastman recovered the ball, but found himself without any support, desperate I went for my first ever FUMBBL punt. which turned out to be an excellent strategy. Despite all his skinks being close to my endzone and his kroxigor and sauruses tied up he managed to free his krox and one suarus and got to the ball first, but had no opportunity to recover the ball as he was quickly outnumbered and I was able to recover the ball and run it over the line to make it 2-0 just as the whistle went.
