A hard fought match in which both teams gave everything going for the win. Luck was running at about 70% for both teams in a tight first half, which ended 1-1, but Nuffle turned on the elves in the second and delivered a couple of grim turns which messed up their running game.

The Dental School put some big hits in at the start to increase their numerical advantage, but Crimson Eclipse showed some superb skills to register the first points on the board. The Vamps responded and managed to keep their cool (and their appetites under control - thank Nuffle for for Gator-Slayed!) and scored late in the first. The half then ended with supreme tension, an audacious one turn score from Crimson Eclispe narrowlly missing after an almost perfect chainpush in turn 8.

The second half saw the Dental School take the lead after caging the ball-carrier downfield before passing to their open runners who had flooded the backfield for the score. After the restart Crimson Eclipse moved the ball into the bottom corner of the opposition half, but a long-shot hypno-gaze blitz defence from the Dental School popped the ball loose. However, the elves recovered and almost scored on two occasions, only to be foiled by a double double-skull on the blitz and a failed dodge roll from their nimble Witch Elf. The Dental School finally managed to recover the ball and move it downfield to safety to secure the win.

All in all a wicked game. Emeyin is a top coach and really cool guy who was happy to chat afterwards on IRC and give some good advice to a n00b. More than welcome for a rematch any time dude! =0)

#10 Darkstorn – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#10 Darkstorn – Smashed Knee (NI)
Like the last game this one started off with a bang. Two serious injuries to Crimson Eclipse had Coach Nathaniel cursing in frustration. The rookie, Donovan, was one of them. He laid on the ground for almost five minutes while his Coach struggled with the decision of sending the Apothecary out so early in the game for a player with no skills yet. In the end the cash flow was too tight to replace him so the Dark Elf Coach sent the medics out. The gamble paid off as no one else was permanently hurt as the game went on. As a thank you for healing him, Donovan, repaid his Coach by working out extra hard and now the Dark Elf's body rippled with muscles.

As for the game itself, Crimson Eclipse recieved and scored midway through the first half on a long 22 yard rush by Malikith. The Drakenhoff Dental School of Vampires returned fire and scored on the second to last turn. A failed one turn score attempt by CE later and the second half began. DDS caged up with their Vampire in the middle and there was little CE could do to stop them. They rolled up and scored a touchdown midway through the second.

The pressure was now on CE as they had the ball and plenty of time to go for the equalizer. It would have been an easy touchdown if it wasn't for Abaddon's bonehead mistake. He thought he would get cute and bowl over a Thrall on the way to the end zone but instead he was embarrased by the skinny skill-less Human and got taken down by an arm bar causing a turnover. This loss was on him and he'll be lucky to get out of the stadium alive as the Wishmaster's 26 game non-losing streak comes to an end.
