“Kondor crossed the pitch and shook hands with Coach Truckerpunk as was his post game tradition. Kondor looked at the other coach, and simply shrugged. It had been one of those matches that was decided early due to a quick lack of rats on the pitch. There really was not much Truckerpunk could have done to avoid it.

As Kondor turned, and headed for the locker room, he reflected on the game. Today Mignon found a mean streak. She really hated claws and dirty players. Early in the first half, Thronnit came blitzing around the end to use that claw on her. Yet, in his haste, he tripped over a piece of refuse on the field and fell prone at his feet. What was she to do? She kicked him in the head and knocked him out with a message that he should stay on the sideline.

He did not listen.

At halftime, he came back on the field with the rats down 1-0 to the Mimes. After a promising setup, the thrower Quarril could not pick up the ball. In blitzed Clotilde to knock him down and stun him. Now the scouting report said that Quarril had a niggling knee, so Mignon took a chance, ran over, and stomped on the same knee. That should just about end Quarril's career as he will be far less agile from here on out.

This left the Mimes surrounding the ball when that same fool Thronnit came rushing in all by his lonesome. Again, he tripped over his own feet and lay sprawled on the ground. Most of the team surrounded him to make sure he would not get up and do something foolish to get himself or anyone else hurt. The problem was that Mignon really hates claws so while everyone else was distracted, she snuck over and gave him another swift kick in the head. This time there was a pop and I think his jaw was dislocated. Mignon screeched that he should have stayed on the bench in the first place, and had to be restrained. Happily, Thronit will be able to play in the team's next match.

Outside of the brutal game by Mignon, the highlight of the match was the elf rookie lineman Juliette who scored a pair of TDs for the Mimes. She looks to have a bright future.
