Vindaloo Curl took to the pitch confidant that they could score an easy win in their debut match vs the severly depleted Dark Elf team Framed in Blood. They were soon proved wrong however as these vicious elves fought for their lives and, despite trailing in the block count by more than 30%, made their hits where it hurt and put three of the Rotters in the injured dugout. After evening up the numbers their superior skills began to show and they came from behind to clinch a well deserved draw.

An error in deployment on the kick-off saw FinB blitz a hole in VC's defensive line, and they would have scored early on had Kouran Rakhart not spilled a catch when stood in the endzone. The Rotters recovered the ball and after caging up around the ball-carrier, advanced the length of the pitch to score late in the first. However, the drive cost them dear as two of their players were left writhing on the sidelines in agony. Dhansak, no doubt hyped-up after having just made the score, tried to even things up in the final moments of the half by placing a sly hoof into star FinB blitzer Urian Khan. However, his reckless actions were spotted by the ref and he was ejected from the game without hurting the elf.

Unbelieveably, Vindaloo Curl therefore managed to receive the kick in the second half a man down, and things were soon to get worse as Beastman Korma took a big hit and joined his compatriots in the treatment room. It was only a matter of time before the Rotters were overwhelemd by superior numbers and FinB ran in for the score. Storming the touchline with his playbook ripped to shreds, coach Smyth gathered his depleted team and told them that anymore getting hurt at the hands of these sneering elven pansies would result in being flushed back where they came from. This seemed to do the trick as they held onto the ball for the remainder of the half and scrambled home for the draw.

All this seemed to not be enough for the Curl fans, as they left in droves at the end, despite a respectable performance with few minus points overall. (Damn you Nuffle, why do you love to take away my fans constantly!)

Was good chatting to you Arno, good luck with your team and hopefully catch you for another game in the future! =0)
