“As was his custom, Kondor crossed the pitch, and shook hands with Coach Midnight. It was a tough match for the chaos squad, and Coach Midnight floated rumors of inebriation. If they were true, to everyone's relief, no one passed out.

The match started with P&P receiving. A strong pass rush and a fumble picking up the ball put the lizards on the back foot for an instant. Still, nerves remained calm, and the skink managed to pick it up and move it to JFK on the flank. With the saurus and Krox out in front, the lizards moved down the field ans scored the opening TD.

With the following kick, the lizards caught their first break of the match with a miss thrown ball that endd up in the stands and bounced out past midfield. Harry Truman seized the opportunity, picked up the ball, and ran for the TD capitalizing on the throwing error.

The second half was a different story. This time, the chaos squad made a push into lizard territory and got the ball carrier into scoring range. The lizard blitzers had no way to reach the beastman, so they had to be satisfied with putting him under extreme duress. Needing two scores to even the match, the beastman made a calculated risk, sprinting for the endzone in a valiant effort to pas both Kroxigor and Saurus alike. Saddly, the krox got his tail extended and dropped the beast with the ball.

The remainder of the match saw the skinks corral the ball and move down the field to score the final TD of the match as time expired.

Jubilation errupted all over the field and throughout the stands as P&P rewarded its fans with the first win of the year. It is said that this day had been predicted by the old ones, and rumors abound that even now bookies are tearing out their beards paying on long odds.

Before returning to the locker room, Kondor thanked Midnight for a well played match and invited him for a rematch between other squads at their disposal at a later date.
