“This match marked the end of the season's first leg, and would see the two highest ranked Aussie teams battle for the top spot.
The Bearskins got to work early, knocking out a Troll, a Bull, and a couple of other Legends early and taking control of the game. Keeping the Dwarves occupied with their superior numbers and making a mockery of their pitiful agility, the Bearskins proceeded to dominate the rest of the half, scoring twice and with ease.
The Stunties were back after half time though, with all but one of their KOs recovering. They rumbled down the line and scored rather quickly. The Bearskins weren't too worried as they got ready to run the clock down. Too cocky. Some sloppy ball protection turned the rest of the half into a mad scramble for the ball as both teams raced to get players around it. The Beards came to within inches of equalising but we sorted them in the end and came away with the points.
Interviewed after the match, game MVP Ragnar Skald commented on what he thought best in life...
"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their coaches!".”
