#11 Loota Pan – Broken Ribs (MNG) #11 Loota Pan – Smashed Knee (NI)
“ A Fairly straight-forward game plan earned the GArgant ladz with a comfortable win over a competitive Undead team. In the first half, Gargant received, and a Blitzer scooped up the ball quickly. As he remained behind the LOS and scouted for a gap through which to advance, the rest of the Ladz piled into a scrum that developed on the LOS. Undead and Orc players collided, but the heavy Orc Armour held out over the rotting flesh of the recently deceased. Several Undead players fell, making it easier for the Orcs to box in the 'survivors' and pin them in place. A somewhat flukey dash by a Blitzer earned the first TD of the game for Gargant.
As the Undead received, there were no great changes to the plan. The onus was on the Undead to score or lose, and again, an all-or-nothing brawl developed on the pitch. A Ghoul retreated the ball deep into Undead territory as he awaited an opportunity, but it didn't come. Again, a few Undead fell, and the rest couldn't move amongst the choking greeen swarm. A few Orcs broke through, stole the ball as an attemptwas made to break through the wall of battling players in the centre of the pitch, and it was eventually the Gargant's thrower who walked in another TD at the end of the second half.
It was an enjoyable game with few surprises but some good, solid playing from both teams. ”
