NWL Season 10
Round 9

The St Louis Hams faced long time foes, the journalist of the Channel Four News Team for the last game of NWL Season X.

All signs pointed to an uphill battle for news room boys, especially without the leadership of the glorious Ron Burgandy, who suffered a RIP in a previous game.

Things quickly confirmed that the C4NT was in for it with 2 serious injuries and a hand ful of KOs in the first half and a TD by #84 Shaun McMurder in turn 8.

The second half looked more promising for the C4NT, taking a few Hams off the field (a BH and a few KOs) but that was not enough to come back from an endzone kick and a backfield fumble as the Hams closed in on Veronica Corningstone II and the news boys. A few times, faithful dog, Baxter IIIpositioned himself in what looked to be a run on the end zone, but things just would not fall into place for Coach -eech

The Hams had an opportunity to make another last turn TD but star thrower Marc Bludger could not complete the pass to the waiting blitzer.

The game ended 1-0 Hams!

The Hams finish the season firmly in the safe middle of the Premiere division and while their run on the title was cut short, they are strong and ready to go for season E11even!

After the game, Marc Bludger refused to give a comment on his performance this game, or on the Hams performance this season. He instead punched reporter Wes Mantooth in the tooth and stomped on his already injured head.
