“Interesting game. It was raining for the entire match, and this had a big effect on the outcome.
Dentistry kicked first, and were unlucky enough to see a lineman KO'd and Cliff badly hurt in the opening salvo. However, the dwarves had difficulty picking up the ball, giving two orc blitzers (including Garr) a chance to storm the backfield. One of the dwarf runners tried to make a break for it with the ball, but tripped and knocked himself out. Zalathar was then able to scoop up the ball and make an uncontested touchdown.
With only three turns remaining in the first half, chances of a dwarf touchdown looked slim. However, despite Dentistry's attempts to swarm the dwarves in touchdown range, the Killers were able to pull off a brilliantly-conceived endzone run in T8.
In the second half, some more bad luck for the dwarves allowed the orcs to get a cage into the backfield relatively easily. While the black orcs tied up the longbeards at the line of scrimmage, and Objection Sustained's Stand Firm skill kept the troll slayer tied up, the cagers were able to stall until T5. (They could probably have waited longer, but decided it was better not to risk losing the ball on offence.)
The final kick of the match presented a scenario similar to the end of the first half, but this time the orcs were able to hold off the runners and blitzers and secured a 2-1 victory.”
