“A tough game for the Fatboys as they pretty much annihilated themselves by the start of the second half through failed dodges and TTMs that ended in crippling injuries, and had to put up with an unusually vigilant ref who sent off two of their players even when his eye was on the other team. By contrast, their own efforts at damaging the Humans were pathetic, and even with Deeproot in the team to dish out the punishment they only cracked Blarghs' armour on a few occasions, leading to nothing worse than a KO.
After receiving the kick, the Fatboys tried to keep things tight in the first by running the ball between their three trees, but with the clock running down and the pressure coming on they twice failed a TTM, only for the ball to pop free for Blarghs to pick up for a last second score.
In the second Blarghs recieved a touchback and gave the ball to their Ogre Schtoomph, much to the consternation of Coach McWerter. However, Deeproot showed his worth by crashing into the cage and then bashing the Ogre to the ground to dislodge the ball. Sensing their chance, the Fatboys swarmed their remaining players around the loose ball, but with their numbers so low they had to take a risk and not cover Blarghs catcher Golden Hands, who had stolen into the backfiled unmarked. This proved fatal as Rollo Gimpfist lived up to his name and fumbled the ball, it then bouncing straight into the waiting hands of True Throw, who nonchalontly delivered it downfiled for the score.
A trademark two turn score by the Fatboys gave brief hope of a draw to their fans, but the tired 'flings got sloppy with a botched deployment on the kick, and then Jumble Blard charged up to Golden Hands but inexplicably failed to Blitz him (dumbest misclick EVER!), leaving Blarghs in safe possession of the ball at the final whilste.
Quality game Zengar, you kept things locked down tight on defence and got some desreved breaks of the ball to pick up the win. Catch you again sometime for a rematch! =0)”
