“The Vanderburg Victims biggest strength is their weakness. The lack of tacklers, their fragile thralls and the silly traditional clogs that makes it a lethal project to sprint makes the opponents lose their edge.
The Windy Samurai experienced this, after turning a 0-1 to 2-1 and looking at an easy victory with only a couple of beaten up opponents left on the pitch. In true Samurai nobility they offered the Victims a last chance to tie the match. The seemingly broken vampires gathered their last 7 players still standing and set an all out offensive play. The Samurai's fans didn't seem quite as noble and knocked out one of the thralls with a thrown rock.
But suddenly the Victims burst with speed. Lucian Valeriu and Ion Cristi sped across the pitch and the remaining thralls threw themselves towards the opponents to shield their potential scorers. The Samurai lunged at the defenses, but with the thoughts of victory allready taken for granted they couldn't stop the Valeriu from sprinting in a last second TD.
The agile Dan Dinu got so excited by the dramatic tie that he suffered a minor stroke, niggling himself in the process.
Thanks for the match, harvestmouse. It was a bunch of fun! I hope to play you further on, maybe in the OCC :)”
