“The turf thundered, the crowd held their breath as two juggernauts emerged from the tunnel. A mighty troll and a minotaur cast daunting shadows onto the playing field. Behind them flowed a team of chaos Halflings, one notable for a nasty set of claws, clearly he needed some tips in personal grooming techniques.

A huge roar went up for the home crowd – the Punxsutawney Pickpockets. But what was this – neither of their star players had arrived yet? SHIT.

Shaking and stuttering, the halfings lined up, before the first drive was even over they had run away as if they’re life depended on it… in truth it probably did. Fortunately the troll and Minotaur were particularly thick and couldn’t capitalise on it. They knew they only had to hold out till half time and the big guns would arrive. As it was they went in 1-1 and were overjoyed at that.

The trees came; the trees saw and the trees kicked some short arsed booty. It was another close one in the recent meetings of two great coaches – well one great coach and one lucky one i.e. me. Never let it be said that fairies and other teams using trees are ‘broken’ the only breaking is the bones of the opposition as they smash and crash their way through opposing lines.
